Giving Tuesday


Center for Leadership, Development and Advocacy (CLDA) is once again participating in #GivingTuesday, occurring this year on November 30, 2021. This Global Day of Giving, founded in 2012, is a day that comes on the heels of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

It is a day when everyone is encouraged to take a break from the shopping and think about all the good that giving does. It’s also a day in which to support our programs because they matter to you. It’s also that time when your generosity can achieve 2x the impact!


The last two years have brought challenges like none we’ve seen before. And although we continue to navigate through some of those challenges, we still have much to be thankful for. We thank you for your commitment for being part of the CLDA family. You make a tremendous impact in the lives of the thousands we serve.

We provide direct support of individual families and organizations to fulfill immediate needs such as new diapers, wipes for infants to adults, new clothing for infants and children, much needed school supply items and a new, warm winter coat. Our goal is to improve systems that have historically made it difficult to gain and maintain health, a job, and be able to feed themselves.


Last year, we raised just over ($50,000) for the kids and families. This year, the Giving Tuesday Committee upped the goal to ($200,000) and decided to earmark funds for our new ICARE Program. ICARE provides critical health and personal health and hygiene products to the families, teens and those who are experiencing homelessness. Your gift/donation will help expand our outreach in making our families safe which drives our mission.


We are asking you to consider donating to our organization and that you ask and to become a fundraiser for us by asking your friends and family to get involved. By stepping up and joining our community, you’ve shown that our work matters to you! Your donation is 100% tax-deductible.
